Heal Your Life Year by Year: A Reiki Healing Experiment

Posted on October 22, 2007. Filed under: Uncategorized |

Sometimes it is hard to track down the source of a problem in one’s life. I can tackle a big issue and see progress yet still feel there is something more that needs help before it can be fully healed. Sometimes a problem first took root in a minor incident that is dismissed at the time and not remembered later when trying to track down the source. It is not always a great injury that causes the first crack in one’s psyche or wrenches the back leaving one more prone to chronic pain there. A single leer directed at a child can leave it feeling unsafe and vulnerable for years without consciously knowing why.

This is why I think that this experiment might be very fruitful. Sending Reiki to each year of ones life to heal anything and everything that happened that year whether or not you are conscious of any harm done, any difficulties that need to be over come, ensures that all aspects of one’s life are fully covered. I suggest concentrating on one year of life per treatment. Spend at least one week of focused treatments for each year. Make a note of any memories and emotions that rise up during the treatment and after. You may find it skillful to come back to a specific event to treat alone from such recall.

Ground, Shield, Invite your Guides & Allies to help and support

Use Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen or intention to send Reiki to your first year of life. Use other symbols as you feel the need. Gently embrace your past self in a glowing cocoon of Reiki and self-love. Set the intention that even after this session the Reiki cocoon will continue to surround your past self for the entire year healing, supporting, protective and loving. When emotions and memories surface breath and send Reiki into them.

When done ground again and thank your guides for their help.
